About ESN

Erasmus Student Network International (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. Our mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students. ESN has 15.000+ active members from over 540+ local sections in 40+ countries working on a volunteer base in Higher Education Institutions for about 200.000+ international students every year.

 

About ESN UP Olomouc

ESN UP Olomouc provides assistance to the foreign students of Palacký University Olomouc which is a member of many inter-university programmes including Erasmus+. Therefore hundreds of foreign students from all over the world have the opportunity to come to Olomouc every year and study at one of its 8 faculties. Since February 2005 ESN UP Olomouc is the 4th section of the ESN CZ.

At present, we organise and run several activities, such as:

  • Buddy System - become a friend with an Erasmus student and be his backup
  • Sport Activities - creating opportunities for sport
  • Trips - go for a trip within and outside of Czech Republic
  • Events - social work, celebrations of Holidays, dinners, national parties etc.

Our main aim is to assist international exchange students coming to UP by helping them get familiarized with the new studying environment, get to know Czech student society and Czech culture. Another goal of ESN UP Olomouc is to help the Czech students meet foreign students, because they can improve their foreign-language skills, make new friends from all over the world and share and compare their knowledge and opinions.
